“I have read a few similar books but this has had to be the easiest and most closest to real life that I have read. You can really identify with the characters and draw from your own experiences to help you learn as you are reading.
In the past I have read books to assist with a business conundrum, often to find that by the time I have reached the end, the business problem has past or I have identified another way to solve it.
As this isn’t a long book to read, you can really start to apply the learning’s very quickly whilst you are reading.
A must read if you are currently merging two teams together and dealing with common conflicts that naturally occur as a result. Looking forward to the next book from the duo :-).”

“The story creation approach keeps you wanting to turn the pages. Real life scenarios provide insight and deliver key messages in building result driven teams. Not to mention that the combined expertise of Mandy and Elisbet adds additional value to the unfolding of dysfunctional teams and the best approach to challenging behaviors. This is a practical read that is highly recommended not only for leaders but for teams that are looking to deliver results.”

“If I only I had this book years ago!! Fantastic book that really brings out the essence of what team work is about. I love the story aspect and found myself reading and chuckling as I recounted the number of times I had done things mentioned in the book.
Fab read, highly recommended and should be handed to every aspiring leader as they start to manage people. Well done both, will be recommending The Team Formula to my mentees and anyone else who needs guidance in this area.”

“The ‘Team Formula’ is a very readable book that quickly introduces the reader to the principles of team working. The story telling approach makes it easier to understand the management techniques described, such as: creating trust, managing change, communication in teams, information sharing, effective leadership, team dynamics, etc. It is a useful book for managers with no experience of change and as an aide-memoire for more experienced managers.
The book was successfully used to launch the CSNet Book Discussion Group, at which the authors Mandy Flint and Elisabet Hearn were present.”

“Well worth reading this. Everyone will recognize the character types, and the impact they have on others. The book is well written and, through being told as a story and not a stodgy business/management book, is good fun too. I like the device of Stephen’s Journal too – a good mechanism for revealing how leaders develop with a new team, in addition to the team itself.”
